About us

Following the need to produce and promote contemporary art and culture, breaking the boundaries among artistic forms and disciplines, the non-for-profit
cultural association Loop House aims to be a point of reference for different art experiences, a multifunctional centre of culture, in permanent dialogue with artistic realities of European and Extra-European countries, developing new collaborations among Italian and foreign artists, curators, presenters, art spaces, cultural and humanitarian associations.
In order to allow the process of creation of young artists and to promote and support the exchange and collaboration among different realities, curators
Alessandra Pomarico, Luigi Negro and David Cossin established, over the past seven years, a program of artistic residencies successfully attended. Offering
the opportunity to create and present to the public new productions, connecting artists from different cultures and backgrounds, linking the arts with the economic and political world, addressing local and global social issues, within the context of South of Italy through its places, art, food and people.
Together with the residencies and as their consequent extension, the program includes a festival of performing art, exhibitions, meetings, panels, open studios visits, sightseeing, educational activities, publications. Loop house has been the catalyst of dance, theatre and music performances, site-specific and visual art works, design projects, a festival of new music and short format cinema. It was behind a numberless of commission for new works. Particularly, SOUND RES - the residency program for musicians directed by American percussionist David Cossin – has become an international appointment awaited both by the audience and musicians, composers and sound artists.
