Sound Res program
Artists are invited to present the result of their residency work to the audience. A series of concerts are organized in different locations: ancient palace courtyards, monumental squares in the historical city centre, or in captivating natural landscapes, beaches and stone quarries. Site-specific performances have been presented in the streets as well as on the roof of old buildings, in the countryside, in private homes. Concerts are often followed by conversations and Q/A with the audience.

Autodreamographical Tales
In 1997, I was commissioned by an organization called New American Radio to create a 1/2 hour piece especially for American Public Radio Broadcast. I had been keeping a journal of my dreams at the time and would write them down immediately on awaking each morning. As the journal progressed this activity seemed to stimulate very long and intricate dream plots. I got the idea to set these dreams to music for the commissioned project and bought a 16 track ADAT digital recording system so that I could multi track all the music parts in my studio using my voice, piano and various synthesizers. Some of the dreams suggested songs which although not part of the dreams seemed to fit well as part of the musical commentary on the dreams themselves.
When I played this piece as part of talk I was giving for the summer workshop at Mass MoCA that Bang on a Can hosts each year, Evan Zyporin suggested that I make a version to perform live with the Bang on a Can All Stars. Gyan Riley, transcribed and arranged my original tracks for the orchestration of the All Stars which includes me as narrator, singer and pianist.
The dream subtitles are:
Dwarf
A long Bus Ride
See them out there Everywhere
The Miracle
Zuchinni
Black Woman
The Faquir
The War on the Poor
In addition, I wrote additional music to make the total length of the piece something like an hour. The new section has a subtitle of Science Fiction, and contains one of the dreams I did not use in Autodreamographical tales as well as a new song.
The new sections are:
The Hippie encampment
Cannabis
Science Fiction
